Yingst Engineers is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to join its team of professionals in providing knowledgeable, exceptional customer service to each and every client. The successful candidate will enjoy being involved in all aspects of a variety of projects, both residential and light commercial. This position will provide hands on leadership to ensure accurate projects from start to finish. Essential to the role is the ability to bring a proactive, creative approach to problem solving and drive successful project results. The MEP Engineer will work collaboratively with other disciplines including architectural, structural and civil professionals.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering required, mechanical/electrical, a plus. A minimum of 5 – 10 years of experience in a mechanical or electrical design & engineering role, essential; plumbing, a plus. Professional Engineer licensure, strongly preferred. Proficiency with technology, including AutoCAD, required. A working knowledge of Revit, a plus. LEED certification, a plus.

OPEN POSITION: Design/Drafter
Design/Drafter to work with other professionals (Civil, Structural, HVAC, Architects) in a small firm with a great team atmosphere. Proficiency in AutoCAD a must, REVIT a plus. Support the design of residential and light commercial (five stories or less) buildings. Projects vary from small to mid-size and have a duration generally from a few weeks to 6 – 12 months.
This is not a full-time desk job. You will use your skills to do initial site measurements and convert them to AutoCAD or REVIT plans and assist in follow up site visits as needed by the Engineer or Architect. It is an exciting position with multiple projects and the ability to direct your own schedule for maximum performance and to showcase your skills.

Desired Candidate Qualities:
- Drafting and design of residential and commercial construction and engineering projects
- Site visits as needed to obtain dimensions and document existing conditions
- Work with and assist responsible engineer/architect
- Preparing final “as-built” plans when required
- Proficient with AutoCAD (REVIT preferred)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable with field work (site measuring, meeting clients, etc.)
- Hands-on construction experience is a plus
- Flexible, able to handle multiple projects, comfortable in a small office environment where teamwork is an absolute must
- Desire to expand knowledge through working with other design professionals
